Yamaha YZF-R125 Service Manual: Installing the steering head
1. Lubricate:
- Upper bearing
- Lower bearing
- Bearing races
2. Install:
- Lower ring nut
- Rubber washer
- Upper ring nut
- Lock washer Refer to "CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE STEERING HEAD" on page 3-22.
3. Install:
- Upper bracket
- Steering stem nut
NOTE:
Temporarily tighten the steering stem nut.
4. Install:
- Front fork legs Refer to "FRONT FORK" on page 4-44.
NOTE:
Temporarily tighten the upper and lower bracket pinch bolts.
5. Tighten:
- Steering stem nut

1. Install:
Stopper lever "1"
Stopper lever spring "2"
NOTE:
Install the stopper lever spring as shown in the
illustration.
Hook the ends of the stopper lever spring onto
the stopper lever and the crankcase boss "3".
Mesh the stopper lever with the shift drum segment

1. Remove:
Left side panel
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.
2. Check:
Cylinder head breather hose "1"
Cracks/damage → Replace.
Loose connection → Connect properly.
CAUTION:Make sure the cylinder head

routed correctly.
