Yamaha YZF-R125 Service Manual: Checking the camshaft
1. Check:
- Camshaft lobes
Blue discoloration/pitting/scratches
Replace the camshaft.
2. Measure:
- Camshaft lobe dimensions "a" and "b"
Out of specification
Replace
the camshaft.
3. Check:
Camshaft oil passage
Obstruction Blow out with
compressed air.

1. Check:

Damage/wear Replace.

Assembling the crankcase
1. Thoroughly clean all the gasket mating surfaces
and crankcase mating surfaces.
2. Apply:
Sealant
(onto the crankcase mating surfaces)
NOTE:
Do not allow any sealant to come into contact
with the oil gallery.
3. Install:
Right crankcase

Adjusting the engine idling speed
The engine idling speed must be
checked and, if necessary, adjusted as
follows at the intervals specified in the
periodic maintenance and lubrication
chart.
The engine should be warm before
making this adjustment.
